Signs of Spring at Rocky Glen

There are some clear signs that spring is coming to Rocky Glen as more plants are begining to poke through the ground cover of fallen leaves.  The ice fall has nearly completely disappeared.  It won’t be long before the rock formations will become accented by greenery from the budding trees!

  1. I last time I was in Rocky Glen was about 55 years ago I was about 12 years old. I grew up in West Peoria and we could take a day and walk to the glen. We’d spend all day there, climbing on the rocks and having a great time. I will be joining you on one of your hikes this summer, hope I can still make the journey. The legs are now 54 years older.
